Whenever we have free time in spring or autumn for our favourite activity and start considering ideas for different routes, we somehow naturally draw our attention to the south, to a warmer and milder climate. And now – this is the case. Despite of the unstable weather, or perhaps – because of this, we aim to the south – the isle of Evia. Principally, this is an island, but being connected to the mainland through a narrow stripe of land near its biggest town of Halkida makes it a peninsula. The weather forecast for Greece is rather pessimistic, but meteorologists are often wrong and this time again, as it turned out.
